„Hello, I’m Lilian Mureyani a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student.
In the summer of 2023, I undertook an Erasmus Internship in Madrid, Spain with EuTech Engineers, and it was an amazing experience. The internship involved weekly tasks with set deadlines, the tasks focusing on 3D CAD design, proposal development and mechanical design calculations. This opportunity gave me valuable insights into my future career as a Mechanical Engineer, teaching me independence and self-reliance.
What made my time in Madrid truly memorable was the people I met. Madrid’s vibrant atmosphere is perfect for making connections and immersing yourself in Spanish culture. My interpersonal skills improved, adding a personal touch to my professional growth. Madrid, with its cultural gems, offers a lot of perks for students. Free entry to The Prado Museum and MNCARS is a treat for art enthusiasts. The city’s parks provided perfect spots for picnics and walks with friends. The convenient transportation system, especially with the Madrid youth transport card, made exploring the city and its outskirts, like Toledo, hassle-free.
Overall, thanks to the Erasmus Internship program, my summer in Madrid was unforgettable. I had an invaluable experience, a great internship, wonderful people and amazing travel moments.„
