Pierogi workshop with International Students

The most popular Polish dishes among foreigners are pierogi (a kind of dumplings) and borscht (special beetroot soup). On November 24, 2025, our international students from the Kielce University of Technology had the opportunity to take on the great challenge of preparing these traditional dishes during an event organized by the Department of Staff Development and International Cooperation under the name PIEROGI WORKSHOP. It was not easy, as making pierogi was a completely new experience for everyone, but they all did a great job.

Their great commitment and focus were visible throughout the entire process. . All the students chopped vegetables, kneaded dough, and made pierogi like professional chefs. The prepared three kinds of pierogi, i.e. Russian pierogi, meat pierogi, and strawberry pierogi for dessert surprised everyone with their delicious taste, and the joint tasting was a well-deserved reward for their hard work in the kitchen. The students were delighted with this form of activity and the opportunity to discover classic, signature dishes of Polish cuisine.

This type of event will certainly be organized again, as it is a great opportunity for integration and for foreign students—both regular and Erasmus+ participants—to explore Polish traditions.
