The international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Advanced Manufacturing Technologies: CNC, Additive Manufacturing & Reverse Engineering” is currently taking place at Kielce University of Technology from 25 to 29 May 2026. The programme brings together 39 students representing 11 partner universities from 9 European countries.

Organized within the Erasmus+ programme, the initiative combines intensive academic activities with international integration and cultural exchange.

The academic and substantive coordination of the programme is led by Professor Sławomir Błasiak, the Scientific Director of the Mechanical Engineering Discipline. The event is organized with the involvement of the staff of the Department of Fundamentals of Machinery Design and Mechanical Technology, as well as the International Cooperation Department of the University.

Over the past few days, participants have taken part in lectures, workshops and laboratory classes focused on advanced manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining, additive manufacturing and reverse engineering. The practical sessions are conducted in the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering, allowing students to work with modern equipment and gain hands-on experience in contemporary manufacturing processes.

In addition to the academic programme, participants are also discovering the cultural and historical heritage of the Świętokrzyskie region. Participants visited Sandomierz, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in the Świętokrzyskie region. The international character of the event fosters the exchange of experiences, the development of academic relationships, and the strengthening of cooperation between partner universities.

The programme will conclude with a final meeting on 29 May 2026 at the Rector’s Office of Kielce University of Technology, where participants will summarize the outcomes of the project and share their experiences from the Erasmus+ international initiative.

As part of the Erasmus+ KA171 project – cooperation with partner countries outside the European Union, the University hosted two academic staff members who are also responsible for international cooperation at their home institution, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute (Uzbekistan): Azizbek Nishonov and Utkirjon Rahmatov.

Within the awarded funding, the guests carried out a Staff Mobility for Teaching visit at the Faculty of Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering. In parallel, working meetings were held at the Department of Staff Development and International Cooperation, during which the details of further institutional cooperation and activities related to academic staff development were agreed upon.

The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Research and Implementation Centre for Intelligent Specialisations of the Świętokrzyskie Region. The visit represents another step in strengthening cooperation under the Erasmus+ programme.

Foreign students of our University had the opportunity to learn about elements of Polish culture, customs, and cuisine related to Christmas in Poland during another “Seasonal Meeting,” which took place on December 11, 2025.
The Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Prof. Artur Maciąg, warmly welcomed the guests and extended Christmas wishes. The festive atmosphere was shared by other representatives of the university authorities who attended the event: vice-rectors, deans, and Erasmus+ faculty coordinators.
Students from various countries, studying full-time or participating in academic mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, had the chance not only to discover Polish Christmas traditions but also to learn about holidays celebrated in Algeria.
The artistic part of the event was provided by the Big Band “Boogie Band” from the Ludomir Różycki State Music School in Kielce, led by Mr. Marcin Stojek, who performed global Christmas hits in jazz arrangements.
Santa Claus also made an appearance and presented attendees with Christmas gifts.
The meeting was organized by the Department for Academic Staff Development and International Cooperation, with the support and involvement of the Student Government.
We hope that the Christmas season in Poland, despite the natural longing for home, will be filled with warmth and joy for our international students, and that the New Year 2026 brings many successes.

On 10 December 2025, the 4th International Railway Forum – Digital & AI Innovation in Railways took place at University of Kuala Lumpur MIDI. This major industry and academic event was attended by His Excellence Krzysztof Dobrowolski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Malaysia, highlighting the growing Polish–Malaysian cooperation in education, research and advanced technologies.

The Ambassador’s presence was also a result of the strengthened partnership between Kielce University of Technology (KUT) and UniKL, developed further during the recent visit of KUT representatives to the Polish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. The visit involved dr hab. inż. Tomasz Kozior, Prof. PŚk and dr hab. inż. Damian Gogolewski, Prof. PŚk and UniKL representatives Sangeeth Suresh and Mohd Zaid Abu Yazid. The discussions led to new opportunities for academic cooperation: joint research projects, mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, and academic-educational activities — supported by the Polish Embassy.

The partnership of KUT and UniKL began in 2018, initiated by dr hab. inż. Tomasz Kozior, Prof. PŚk. Since then, cooperation has steadily developed: through research projects, academic exchanges, publications, participation in conferences and forums such as the 4th International Railway Forum. As a result, scientific and educational ties between Poland and Malaysia are strengthening, offering new development opportunities for KUT students and staff.

The participation of the Polish Ambassador in the UniKL forum is another sign that our initiative delivers real results — and opens new horizons for cooperation.
