Testimonials of Erasmus+ exchange students

Erkan

Turkey 🇹🇷

Hello, my name is Erkan. I am from Turkey I joined the Erasmus exchange program at the Kielce University of Technology in the fall semester of the year 23/24.

First of all, I want to say that it was the best 5 months of my life. I’ve been on a lot of trips with my friends. We met people from different countries. We have seen that Polish people are kind and helpful at the same time, the people in the International Relations Office were decently helpful and kind. We have had many opportunities to meet people from different countries. For example, coffee meetings and ice skating events organized by our school are things like this. I’ve had a lot of great experiences. Erasmus helped to change my views completely.
I also want to say to future friends that there should be no worries among you, you can come to Kielce without hesitation, it is a very useful city for students.

Latvia 🇱🇻

I was in Kielce after graduated my master’s degree. I was there for an internship. I am really happy, that Kielce University gave me the opportunity to be an intern. I have been in Kielce with my boyfriend, now Husband. While I was at Kielce University I did some scientific research with University lecturer Agata Ludynia, and our work was published in a scientific journal, I think that provide future opportunities for me. Also, we met very much new people and made new friendships. Thanks to our Erasmus coordinator Michalina we had the opportunity to play volleyball in local teams, which means very much to us. Also we were very happy about our dormitory because the room was very clean and brand new, also we have shower and toilet in every room, that is very important and pleasantly. Example there in our country(Latvia) that type of room in dormitory will cost for us much higher price than it was in Kielce University dormitories. Also we were very happy with a gym in the dormitory.
What about the city and why we came to Kielce University, it was more about study program, because my husband studied electrical engineering and I environmental engineering, in Kielce University we found these specialties. We came to Kielce by our car, because we wanted to travel more around Kielce city and also made a trip to other cities, like Zakopane, Krakow, and Warsaw.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Kielce, Poland. We really like the price of everything in Kielce, because in Latvia the price is much higher. Also, we really like the Poland mountains and the environment. And I forgot to say about the outside volleyball court, that was available for us always😇.

During my Erasmus semester in Kielce,  one of the highlights was the incredible opportunity to explore not only the city but also the surrounding regions and the rest of Europe. Poland’s central location served as a gateway to a multitude of travel adventures. Weekends were filled with exciting journeys to picturesque destinations within Poland, each offering its own unique history and charm. Additionally, the efficient transportation network allowed for seamless exploration of neighboring European countries. From the medieval beauty of Krakow to the historic allure of Prague and the vibrant energy of Vilnus and  Riga, my Erasmus experience extended far beyond the confines of Kielce, creating a tapestry of diverse cultures and unforgettable memories.”

Hi!

My name is Onur Eren, I’m from Turkey.

This year I was studying at Kielce University of Technology via Erasmus+. Since I was here the International office was so kind to us. They were so nice and helpful plus they took us on trips like an old castle, ice skating, bowling, etc. I have met a lot of people from around the world. I will miss all of them, we had a great time in one year. Because the city of Kielce is between Warsaw and Krakow we were able to visit these cities a lot of times. With these places, we were able to go to lots of other countries such as Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.

I loved being here and I’ll miss it so much. Thank you Kielce University of Technology.

Kielce University of Technology, what a wonderful experience! Initially accepted at the KUT in 2019 as an Erasmus+ student mobility for studies, I hesitated and the pandemic struck. Despite the setback, my determination to embark on the Erasmus+ program persisted. I applied once more, the odds were against me this time as I was in my last year of studies; and guess what, I was accepted, miraculously. The applications here were already closed but I didn’t give up, thanks to the exceptional support from the  International Office of the KUT – a dynamic and helpful team, truly among the best in my academic experience- I made it. Upon arrival, I realized it was one of the best decisions I have made. First, the location of Kielce in Poland is perfect, not far away from major cities.

The University welcomed us warmly, and we were explained everything in details, besides, many other students were willing to help us. I specially  liked my dorm Mimoza, our administrators are amazing people, very kind, supportive and they even helped me to have a room were I could play my drums everyday. My teachers are real professionals, I had the privilege to be trained by a team of young trainers so I learned without complex and stress. We organised a memorable concert in December 2022 just among the students, and my mobility ended the best way ever.

Throughout my time at KUT, I had the pleasure of meeting people from diverse countries and continents, enriching my experience and leaving me with cherished memories. Simply put, I loved every moment of my journey at Kielce University of Technology.

Last year I was on Erasmus in Kielce.
From the first day we were welcomed at the university and in the residence in an incredible way.
We did a lot of activities with the rest of the Erasmus students like ice skating, skiing, bowling or trips around Kielce. I have been able to get to know a large part of Polish culture as well as many cities such as Krakow, Warsaw or Katowice. It is also a destination from which you can easily go to many areas of Europe.

I really appreciated my five months in Kielce University of Technology. It was a priceless experience study in an abroad country, all is different, but KUT made us feel like at home. In the University there are many courses in English and laboratories to improve your practical abilities.

During my permanence, I enjoyed the meetings organised by the international office for Erasmus students, they were an optimal way to know university mates and Poland traditions.
